Amit Gautam
His Story
Amit Gautam, the driving force behind the Savatribai Phule Villiage Library, hails from the same Dalit community he serves. His journey from a small village to becoming an advocate for education and empowerment is a testament to his unwavering determination. Growing up in a family where education was a distant dream, Amit's own pursuit of knowledge was made possible through the generosity of his uncle.

After completing his education, including a Master's degree in Rural Technology & Development, Amit embarked on a path to create positive change in Dalit communities. His commitment to promoting education, women's development, and empowerment schemes led him to work with the Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India. Discrimination and challenges prevented him from pursuing his Ph.D. but he is dedicated to uplift the marginalized.
Today, Amit stands as a passionate community servant, determined to motivate and inspire individuals to discover their potential.
About his Vision
Teaching how to Embrace your Potential
Everyone should have access to exceptional education and resources. This is our driving mantra at the Savitribai Phule Village Library. We host free weekly workshops, tutoring sessions, invite guest speakers and volunteer teachers, and have collected curriculum textbooks and test preparatory workbooks. Most importantly, we have fostered a safe environment for ALL people.
